RULES FOR ABSTRACT PREPARATION

1.
Individuals will be limited to one oral presentation each, although co-authorship of additional abstracts is permitted.
2.
Only the author designated on the abstract may present a paper in a slide or poster session. Any substitution of presenter must be approved by the Program Committee.
3.
Material to be presented must cover original and completed research. It should not have been previously published in any form.
4.

The title should be brief, clear, and informative.

5.
Organize the body of the abstract as follows:
• Statement of the purpose of the study
• Statement of the methods used
• Summary of the results presented in sufficient detail to support the conclusions
• Statement of the conclusions reached
It is not satisfactory to state "the results will be discussed," or "other data will be presented". Some work, e.g. theoretical work, may require other organization.
6.
Abbreviations must be defined by placing them in brackets after the full word the first time they appear. Abbreviations should be avoided in the title.
7.
Generic names are required the first time a drug is mentioned.
8.
All abstracts and presentations must be in English.
9.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The authors of accepted papers will be notified of the session in which their paper is to be presented, and whether an oral presentation (10 min with 5 min discussion) or poster presentation will be given.
10.
Selected abstracts will be reproduced exactly as they are submitted. Remember that your abstract will appear exactly as you submit it.

The deadline for submission is August 27, 2010.
You will be notified of acceptance within four weeks.
